Traveling Superintendent
(Full-Time)
G4 Construction Management is a commercial construction company specializing in restaurant and retail general contracting. We provide services throughout the Midwest; primarily working with major corporate operators, franchisors, and franchisees. We are looking for a Traveling Superintendent to join our team!
Job Summary
As the Traveling Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day job site activities. You will lead the field team, ensuring efficient and successful project execution, exhibiting a professional and positive demeanor, and the ability to display tact internally and externally while living by our company values.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Project Supervision:
Provide job site supervision, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous
improvement by working proactively with each trade contractor and vendor.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the project manager to optimize workflow and
resolve scheduling conflicts promptly.
Monitor progress and address delays, implementing strategies to keep projects on track.
Generate a Four-Week Lookahead Schedule in MS Excel each week and distribute it to trade
subcontractors, vendors, and other project team members.
Utilize the Procore project management system to maintain accurate and detailed daily logs for all
workdays documenting site progress, trade manpower, deliveries, inspections, and any issues.
Oversee and enforce Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan SWPPP regulations and inspect SWPPP
controls as they relate to the activity on the job site, including completing the SWPPP Report
weekly and after each rainfall event.
Utilize a thorough knowledge of every aspect of building projects to ensure the projects are
completed successfully.
Develop relationships with clients, designers, consultants, and developers during project
execution.
Maintain contact with clients beyond project completion to enhance the prospect of future work.
Safety:
Promote the safety culture and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Quality Control:
Review and understand all project design documents (drawings, specifications, etc.) thoroughly
and provide constructability analysis.
Provide valuable insights and recommendations for design modifications as needed.
Coordinate with project stakeholders to clarify design-related questions and ensure alignment
with construction activities.
Monitor work daily to ensure performance in accordance with design documents, project
requirements, and applicable standards to ensure projects meet or exceed industry standards.
Collaborate with project teams to identify and address quality concerns promptly.
Ensure that a high quality and quantity of work is completed on schedule and under budget.
Ensure that project punch list work is completed promptly.
Other Duties:
Act as a resource to assist other Superintendents.
Self-perform work duties as needed.
Represent the company at trade organization events, networking events, and volunteering events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Construction Management or related field and two years of equivalent
experience OR five years of equivalent superintendent experience.
Proactive, solid problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently and independently.
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Experience with Procore Project Management software preferred.
Experience with Bluebeam software preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
Qualified candidates must hold a current driver’s license.
OSHA 30 Preferred
MN Erosion Control Training Preferred
First-Aid/CPR/AED Preferred
Forklift Certification Preferred
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must not require sponsorship for
employment visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B).

Working Conditions
The job is generally performed in a construction jobsite environment which may produce physical
discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, and the like, and which may mandate the use of protective
equipment conforming to OSHA regulations.
Must be able to travel as needed for project job site assignments, deliveries, and other meetings.
